Description

PawsCare is a mobile application designed to help dog owners in Indonesia easily access pet care services, from at-home grooming to dog hotel bookings. The goal was to create a seamless, trustworthy experience for pet owners who want quality care for their dogs without the hassle of finding and coordinating services manually.

Problem

Problem

"No centralized, trustworthy platform built specifically for dog owners in Indonesia."

Dog owners in Indonesia often rely on informal channels to find and book pet care services, making it hard to compare options, track orders, or feel confident about the quality of care. There was no centralized, trustworthy platform built specifically for this need.

Research & Discovery

By mapping out the experience from a dog owner's perspective, three core pain points emerged:

  • No single platform to discover and book dog care services

  • No visibility into booking status or payment progress

  • No structured way to leave or read service reviews

These insights directly shaped the features and user flows built into the app.

Design Process

Starting from the identified user needs, I mapped out the end-to-end customer journey covering onboarding, service discovery, booking, payment, and post-service review. With a clear picture of the flow, I moved straight into high-fidelity design, focusing on clarity, ease of navigation, and a warm visual tone suited for a pet care audience.

Solution

PawsCare brings grooming and hotel booking into one unified platform. Users can browse services, complete bookings, pay via virtual account, and track order status in real time. Service staff have a dedicated flow to manage incoming orders and submit completion proofs, creating a complete closed-loop experience on both ends.

Reflection

This project pushed me to think beyond a single user type and consider how different people interact with the same system at different points. If I were to revisit PawsCare, I would incorporate user interviews and usability testing earlier in the process to validate assumptions before moving into high-fidelity design.
